We had a wonderful time on Friday celebrating the Queen's special birthday. We joined together with the Parish Council and Gateways to have a real community celebration.
The children sang the National Anthem together and then performed choral pieces individually. Everyone agreed that the children sounded wonderful. Lord and Lady Harewood and the Dowager Duchess all enjoyed the performance.
After Prayers of thanks for the steadfast service of the Queen and good wishes for her future and that of the country, the children then presented the Dowager Duchess with flowers as she also has a 90th birthday this year.
She was thrilled with the thoughtfulness of the children and came to thank us for all our hard work.
What a perfect way to end our Royal Feature week!
(Wait.... no, we still had the Royal disco to go! What a week)
