Yorkshire Adventurers!
Over the last couple of weeks Class 3 have taken part in their annual Yorkshire Adventures. Mr.Madeley has been sharing the fantastic Yorkshire countryside with us. Here are some images from our days ...
Morning Campers!
Well, it is the morning after the night before and I'm pleased to report we all woke up smiling (well almost everyone). Class 3 have had a fantastic camping experience which was helped by the beautiful weather.
After setting up the tents on Friday afternoon, we took part in team building games in the glorious sunshine.
After a delicious dinner cooked by Mrs. Burnley and Mrs.Watts, we played hide and seek in the empty school building - spooky!
Some of us seemed to be planning on staying longer than one night! Luckily we managed to squeeze in our tents, bags and all.
After hot chocolate and biscuits we all cleaned our teeth (honest!) before having a pyjama parade and then off to bed. Hopefully we'll all be well rested and recovered in time for another action packed week starting on Monday! See you all soon .... I'm off to bed! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hail Caesar!
Class 3 travelled to Murton Park as part of their study of Roman Britain. On their return, the class wrote blog entries. Their challenge was to write about the day in an entertaining way. We decided that the blog written by Joe was entertaining and informative. Here it is!
Blog entry - blogger Joe Mills Y3
Hail Caesar! Yesterday Class 3 travelled back in time 2,000 years. Class 3 used the secret password: Hail Caesar! to get past the guard and into the Roman fortress at Murton Park. Our centurion, Keith, sent us to our barracks to get kitted out in our armour. Once we were ready, we took turns in our units to complete activities.
In our units we: created our own olive oil lamps; trained to fight and throw the javelin; guarded the fort and learned how to do the 'testudo'. Guess what? There's more!
Yes! There certainly is more. We fought an rough, scruffy, idiotic Celt! We didn't even touch him and he ran away, but this is the funny part - he laid down his spear and stuck out his rear end! He was no match for the might of the Roman army; we soon sent him running!
Do you know who are a soldier's best friends? First, is their helmet which protects their head in battle. The shield is friend number two. Finally is the fierce looking spear.
Everyone agreed we had had a great day. We learnt so much about life in the Roman army. Homeward bound, we travelled 2,000 years back to the future!.
