Harewood School Nativity Photos!

Class One have been learning the Christmas story, and hopefully quite a bit about the true meaning of Christmas.
The Nativity and Carol Service on Friday 18th December was a fantastic example of team work – just the way we like it at Harewood!

With help from all our friends the children in Class One retold the story of how Jesus was born.

What a brilliant way for them to end their first term at school.
We need to say a huge thank you to Mr Sturgess for taking these amazing photographs for us.

Space animations part 2....The Moon (by Class 4)

Class 4 have been learning about the topic of Space in Science recently. Last week we uploaded some fantastic solar system animations, showing the orbits of the planets around the sun using scaled distances and relative velocities. This week, we have been looking a little closer to home at our own moon, affectionately known as The Moon. The children were asked a series of questions about the moon which they had to investigate and illustrate as part of this project - some animations focus on why we only see the same side of the moon, other groups were fascinated by The Moon relationship with the tides, whilst some looked at how it orbits in relation to The Sun and Earth. After an upload time that would've probably allowed Tim Peake time to reach the International Space Station, I present to you our entire set of Moon animations by Class 4 (plus some 'making of' pictures below):

Well done Class 4 - you've produced some great work and I am confident that your learning has been very secure of the key concepts of this topic. You're rocketing through this topic.... hmmm that sent us right back down to Earth! Hope you enjoy watching the films!
