The evening challenge- making an outfit from bin bags!

In groups of 3 the children worked their magic on the humble bin bags to create a themed outfit to be worn by one of the group.

We have:
A Greek God
A ninja
Little Red Riding leopard
A pirate
A British Gymnast

Crab fishing in Whitby

The Harewood record for 2hrs crab fishing is 3 crabs. Usually it’s a fun but chilly & smelly way to pass the afternoon. However today, the sun came out and it seems year 5 became crab whisperers!

We put on our detective hats to investigate Whitby Museum

It might be small but we found a lot to look at!

We found a shrivelled human hand, hundreds of butterflies- we even paced out the length of a blue whale. The children couldn’t quite believe the scale of it.
