High Adventure Day 2 and 3 - Blindline, Mountain Activities and Archery!

What a fantastic day! The rain held off all day today for a fantastic day of abseiling, climbing, team building (and just fun) games and all rounded off with a round of archery!

The children were once again absolutely brilliant - every single one of them made it down the abseil and through all of the 'weaselling' challenges too. Brilliant day!!

The children are all fast asleep now after a bedtime story. The week couldn't be running any smoother and we are looking forward to what tomorrow has in store.

High Adventure - Day 2 (Caving and low ropes!)

The weather was pretty soggy today but we didn't really care as we took shelter in the (damp, wet) caves!! The children have been once again brilliant today and their spirits certainly weren't dampened by the rain (unlike every item of clothing they wore!). In fact, this group amazed the instructors as every single one of them completed all of the cave challenges, including some really tight squeezes (well they felt pretty tight to myself and Mr Timbs anyway!).

Then we followed this with some fantastic team work on the low ropes. The children are currently tucking into a tasty korma before our evening activity! So proud of Year 6 so far this week!

High Adventure - Day 1 (Stream scramble and labyrinth)

Brilliant first day at High Adventure! The children have thoroughly enjoyed the day and are just about all asleep now (!). They've been brilliant - the instructors have been full of praise for how sensible and enthusiastic this group has been. It's been a long, busy day but we've already got our packing done ready for tomorrow's adventure - caving! This activity is off-site so the blog may not be available until late afternoon or evening - watch this space!
