New Apprentices on the Job!

Class 3 were treated to a sneak preview of the new building this week. Our three competition winners were chosen after being set a task to design a classroom of the future. Our winners had fantastic ideas ranging from a time machine to assist with history lessons to a holographic teacher to free up more of Miss King's time - genius!
Dave, our site manager, very kindly gave up his time to give us a tour. We wore our hardhats and high visibility vests to comply with the site safety regulations.

"Wow! The new classroom is huge!" said Eve. "I can't wait to start working in here!"

The children were all impressed with the new facilities, it certainly will give us a lot more room to learn.

The children tested out the new carpet. "I love the colour and it's so comfy," they said.

Dave showed us inside the magical cupboard which has the stairs to nowhere! As the building is so old many of the features had to be kept, including this flight of stairs. It makes a very handy cupboard!

We are all very excited about moving into the new part of our school, it is the start of a very exciting chapter in the long history of Harewood.
