7-a-side Football Competition

This is the Harewood School football team. They took part in a 7-a-side Football Competition at Wetherby High School on Thursday 26th September. We played 4 matches, drawing 1 and losing the other 3 (although 2 of them very closely). I have been informed that we were due to play one other match, but the opposition did not turn up. We clearly scared them off so we will claim that one as a win! More importantly the attitude, behaviour and effort of the whole team was absolutely top class and Mr Colling, who was their coach, was very proud of them all.

Year 5 Harewood Walk

While the Year 6 are off on residential, the Year 5s took the chance to hike around the Harewood Estate. With the bad weather forecast for the afternoon, we set off very promptly and did the reverse walk to the usual. Along the way we talked about the history and development of Harewood and its significant buildings.

This included Harewood House and Gawthorpe Hall

It also included Harewood Castle and All Saints Church.

Because of our change of plan we made it back to school before the worst of the rain. We used the extra time to do sketches of the House from the photographs we had taken.
