While the Year 6 are off on residential, the Year 5s took the chance to hike around the Harewood Estate. With the bad weather forecast for the afternoon, we set off very promptly and did the reverse walk to the usual. Along the way we talked about the history and development of Harewood and its significant buildings.
This included Harewood House and Gawthorpe Hall
It also included Harewood Castle and All Saints Church.
Because of our change of plan we made it back to school before the worst of the rain. We used the extra time to do sketches of the House from the photographs we had taken.
