Class 4 'Countryside day' adventure at the Great Yorkshire Showground

We had an amazing day today at the Great Yorkshire Showground. After splitting into groups we headed for our first workshop.

Animal Anatomy

And then something odd happened...
Hmmm it seems that by using a wolf skull the boys are reminding us of the harsh truth of nature! 😐
We then moved onto equine care and learnt how to keep horses clean and healthy and how to deal with injury.

Just as we thought we were getting to grips with countryside pursuits... We met dancing sheep!

Just time for a quick trim.. Very professional!

Rope Making
Well what can I say, we made it..

And then, what else could we do but skip?!

Simply Science Workshop

With the help of our 2 'Professors' we explored bubbles, extreme weather, friction and the potential power if the air. A really brilliant opportunity for the kids to get stuck into some high school science!

The smoke filled bubbles were our favourites. Totally magical!

To round off our day we met some fa animals. The group favourites were these little chaps. (The Ducklings were cute too!)
