Following our treasure hunt adventure last week we have spent some of the week being pirates. We shared more pirate treasure and thought about grouping in maths. We made our own pirate hats and the children also had to pass a pirate test and do lots of pirate challenges before being able to play with the castle and pirate ship small world.
Some of them even built a pirate ship in the sand pit!
We wrote invitations for the Teddy Bear picnic party for Miss Percival and then had a lovely picnic in the garden on Thursday, with party games in the hall and big playground. Some of the teddies stayed for a sleep over. They didn't get up to as much mischief as last time when they stayed. It seems they spent the night watching some of our favourite films and Numberblocks episodes.
Music with Mrs Jarvis. Learning about African instruments and clapping the syllables for the fruit descriptions in Handa's Surprise.
In maths we also thought about sharing with the fruits and vegetables form our role play farm shop.
Dance with Miss Percival - the final performance, which I videoed and will put on Tapestry for you all to enjoy. Everyone did a fabulous job!
Tricky word writing test in phonics.
Our first ice-cream Friday!
Looking after and adding to the Fairy Garden, observing the tadpoles
(no change yet!) and other fun.
We have been doing NSPCC Collective Worship and activities all week to remember how to Speak out and Stay Safe.
Whole Class photo. I was so proud of how the children listened, followed the photographers instructions and looked fabulous. The professional picture will be a lot better than mine!
