Miles of smiles!

(UPDATE: 26/03/10 Total raised for Sports Relief - £1006.40!!!!!! Mr M.)

Sports Relief had us all jumping for joy yesterday as the whole school set off on their fund raising adventure. We did not run around our school field, oh no - not us! We were so lucky we got to do our mile by completing eight laps of the adventure playground at Harewood. We had a brilliant day running our mile for Sport Relief!

Some parents came to help us walk to Harewood House, we were very grateful. We had so much fun sliding down the slides, climbing through tunnels and scrambling through the netting that we didn't notice the miles!
After we had completed four laps we started to get very tired, but we had to keep on going. Finally we staggered around our final lap and crossed the finish line. Lots of us collapsed with exhaustion.

Although Class 1 didn't take part in the lap challenge they did help to raise money by keeping active on the smaller playground.

Everyone had a great time for a good cause. We are now collecting in our sponsorship money - we hope we can raise a lot of money to send to Sport Relief. The money collected will help projects in both the UK and abroad. Have you collected your sponsorship money yet?

Keep going, nearly there!
Class 2 try to take a break, but they've been spotted!

Halfway round, four more laps to go.

The boys go for a sprint finish.
Everyone agreed it had been a great day, well done everyone!
