Baa Baa Black Sheep

On Wednesday Class One had two very special visitors to the classroom.
Jed's mum and dad brought their pet Hebridean sheep.
They raised the sheep from when they were first born because their mother couldn't look after them.
The children wanted to let everyone know about the visit on the blog so they all chose a picture and did some independent writing.

Jed - I looked after the lambs when they were little.

Before the visit we talked about how to make the classroom a safe place for the lambs so they didn't feel scared. We also discussed the best place to put them so they didn't make a mess.
Samuel - I was watching James feed the lambs. They were drinking milk from a bottle.

Sumayya - The lambs wanted to cuddle me.
Tabatha - Me and Maya and Kitty like the lambs. They were black.
Thomas - I held the lamb. It felt soft.
Tom - The lambs horns are hard.
Eva - Me and Oscar were stroking the lambs. They were soft.
James - We stroked the lambs.
Kitty - Me and Maya stroked the lambs.
Charlie - We held the lambs.
Leo - I like cuddling the lambs.
Maya - The lambs feet were so cute and so hard.
Oscar - Jed's mum was feeding the lambs. The lambs were drinking milk.
Thank you to Jed and his family. We had a great time and even enjoyed writing about it.
We will be learning more about caring for animals next half-term.
