Evolution and inheritance trio of trips!

Throughout our Science topic of 'Evolution and Inheritance' we have been on three outings, culminating in this week's visit to the Harewood House Bird Garden to study the adaptations of birds from around the world (using handmade note books for sketches and field notes).

Harewood Bird Garden

Yorkshire Rivers Trust - using classification keys to identify a wide range of pond life; considering food chains and adaptations; and studying the features of a river and how to minimise the risk of flooding (not technically on topic but they are the Rivers Trust after all!).

Tropical World! This was a brilliant outing and resulted in some amazing written recounts in class.

What a fun topic!
