This week we had a Road Safety Feature Week. The children in Class 3 found out about how to be a sustainable traveller and how to keep safe when we cross the road by following the Green Cross Code.
David came in to tell us about the Tour de Yorkshire and how cyclists can improve wind resistance to make themselves go faster. It was all very scientific. We also found out how to keep safe on the road when we are cycling.
On Thursday we had the Road Safety team in school.
We started with a whole school assembly...
and we met Kerby the road safety mascot.
Amber came to our classroom to tell us about how to cross a road safely.
Then we went out in small groups to put into practise what we had learnt.
We have had an interesting and informative week and hopefully everyone can now be a confident pedestrian and cross the road safely.
