Class One have been very busy in their first four weeks of school and, because you can't see the Notice Board at the moment, here is a Blog with pictures from the last few weeks (you will have seen some already in the children's individual Learning Journals).
Enjoy!
Developing fine motor skills....
Learning about the areas in our garden.
It was our first proper PE lesson this week. Everyone tried hard to get changed themselves and some did a great job. Some needed a little help with buttons, inside out sleeves and sticky socks!
and gross motor skills.
Did you know that dangling upside down is good for your brain?
Learning how to keep each other safe.
Learning about the days of the week and months of the year.
Choosing and sharing books in our quiet time and anytime!
Making new friends, taking turns, sharing, being creative and great team work.
We made a rainbow of hand prints to help us learn and remember our Golden Promises:
Be kind
Be honest
Be respectful
Be your best self
This week we also learned the story of Noah's Ark from the Old Testament and thought about the rainbow God sent as a sign of his promise. We found and made Arks all over the place!
The dove, which Noah sent to find land, caused a bit of confusion when we retold the story in our own words. Pigeon, seagull and angel bird we all used to describe it so we had a look at them more closely and some of the children chose to draw their own doves.

What a fabulous bunch Class One are!
(Next week there won't be quite as many photos to share, now we're caught up)
