Class One Week beginning 19.4.21

Welcome back to school. What a fabulous first week back.

Snack shop in the garden and classroom. The children have been taking it in turns to set the shop up so they can help their friends have snack whenever they like (before 11am). We will keep going until everyone has had a turn.

Here the workmen were fixing the roof of the shop.

Once snack was done the shop was turned into a pizza shop.

Spring Celebrations Day. We thought about different religious festivals and how people celebrate in other countries. We watched a film about Islam and how Muslims celebrate Ramadan and Eid. It was interesting to learn how festivals from different religions and the way people choose to celebrate can be very similar to each other.

We looked at beautiful Islamic art designs with all their complex shapes and patterns and had a go at making our own. Fabulous colouring and great choice of colours guys!

We also made Mexican God's Eyes by weaving coloured wool around a cross. I was impressed by everyone's patience and nimble fingers.

All our crafts looked so great that we used them on our shape display.

In PE on Wednesday we had fun on the big field. We learned about how to be a good runner and then had some races before ending the lesson by showing off our balancing and climbing skills from last half term.

We practised our cutting skills as we celebrated St Georges Day on Friday. Our dragons, princesses and knights will be all finished on Monday to re-tell the legend of St George and the dragon.

Look at all this other phonics, maths and fun stuff!

It's great to be back!
