High Adventure 2018 Day 2: Caving!

Day two and after a good night's sleep it was time for the biggest adventure of the trip yet: caving! For this outing, we packed our lunch and took a minibus out to The Three Peaks. The children were all really excited and we were in awe of the amazing countryside (I even put some pictures in arty black and white for good measure).

After a short walk, a look at a few sink holes and suchlike, we descended into the depths below....
It was a tight squeeze in some parts but the children didn't seem remotely phased by this (unlike myself and Mr Timbs!).

Wow! They all made it through the challenges in the first cave (any child not pictured was merely because they whizzed past so fast I didn't get a chance to take a picture!).

A well-earned break......
A well-earned break in black and white......

 In we go......
 Hello!

For the penultimate challenge......    a really wet cave (the final challenge was actually a really, really, wet cave that was also very tight so I didn't dare take my camera in!).
Eyes adjusting to the light...... (or for camera enthusiasts, the wrong ISO settings, still set to custom 'cave' settings)

Muddy, cave warriors finally tiring and ready for a late lunch...
But not before a few smiles....
....and of course the group photos!

Today was absolutely brilliant and because the group were so fearless we actually explored more caves than any other High Adventure trip in the past which is something to be very proud of. Well done Year 6!
