This week we had a representative from the Candlelighters Charity visit our school to attend a Collective Worship. She told us information about how the charity supports children with cancer and their families in the Yorkshire area.
We told her about all the things we have done this year to raise money for Candlelighters. We told her about the Glitter run which was organised by the school council.....
……..we told her about the enterprising group of girls in Class 3, who organised their own stall at the summer fair and raised £87.62.....
and we were able to tell her about the fantastic achievement of one of our pupils who cycled from Wetherby to Filey to raise her own personal contribution to the Candlelighters charity.
We handed over a cheque from the school for £3,064,99
