Class One's Yorkshire Day at Brimham Rocks

On Monday, Mr Madeley took Class 1 on their first Yorkshire Adventure. We went to Brimham Rocks and had a fantastic time. The children walked and climbed all day whilst carrying their own lunches and no one complained even once! They were very well behaved and learned about how the rocks had been formed and shaped by ice, water and the weather. They also learned about the animals that live near the rocks and how they use camouflage to help them survive.
Some of the climbing was quite tricky. We learned how to climb carefully up and down slopes and watch that we didn't bang our heads when we went through the small gaps.

Thank you to Daisy's dad, who took the photographs for us.
Daisy looked at this picture and wrote: Dad was taking my picture. I had fun.

After lunch we had our photograph taken on a rock that looked like a butterfly.

Look at this fantastic view!

Mr Madeley told us about how to stay safe when we were high up. We were very careful and got to see what it would look like if we were birds flying above the trees.
