Final day - putting the HIGH in High Adventure!
The final activity of the week is the High Ropes assault course! Newly installed for this year was the zip wire which is a great activity to start with - not quite as high as the other parts but a good chance to zip across the whole centre!
Wooo hoooo!
Big smiles all round!
Love this expression!
Some great flying poses!
Next, we split into two groups - one to do the assault course scramble to the top and the other to attempt the infamous leap of faith....
It really is pretty high!
Wowser!
I love these shots - you can really see the sense of achievement in the face. It takes real courage to leap off that platform!
Another cool customer! Just hanging around, giving us a friendly wave.... (from ridiculously high up)
Going up.....
Going down.....
Easy does it Mrs Wraighte....
We said, 'Don't look down!' but you seem to pretty happy!
Absolutely fearless!
This is the hardest part - getting on the platform is tough.
Wahey!
Much fun was had trying to catch people in an orange bucket as the descended....
Gotchya!
High on the joys of being up very very high!
Like a graceful, elegant frog Mr Sturgess glided through the air towards the trapeze....
Mr Timbs had his own unique style of clambering up......
And that's where we left Mrs Wraighte. If we're lucky, she'll have made it back down and be back with us by Monday morning!!
This has been such a great trip - the instructors were really first class and the children have all pushed themselves out of their comfort zones. There has been no grumbling either - the children have stayed positive througout the whole week and have worked so well as a team, supporting each other when the tasks become challenging and cheering each other on. The children will be tired this weekend but they've really squeezed every last drop of enjoyment out of this trip and made the most of their opportunities. Great work!
Homework: Go home, have a look at the blog with your families and tell them all about the trip!
